An accident involving three vehicles on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway has left two persons seriously injured.
Reports gathered at the scene indicate that a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GX 2309-15 collided with a taxi GT 9775-09 which in turn rammed into an articulator truck at Buduatta junction.

Driver of the truck, who gave his version, told Adom News’ Kofi Adjei that the Land Cruiser was heading towards Cape Coast and made a wrong overtaking and collided with the taxi plying the opposite route.
Yaw Baah also added that though both cars veered into his lane, he failed to stop as he was protecting his car which contained explosive materials being conveyed to a mining site.
That, however, did not prevent the taxi from ramming into the rear of his truck.

of injuries and have been conveyed to the Winneba Government Hospital.
Police officers from Gomoa Ojobi, who were alerted about the casualties, have towed both vehicles to the police station while investigations are ongoing.

Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif demanded the sacking of Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac after summoning the Ghana Football Association to an emergency meeting on Friday, January 21, 2022 to discuss what went wrong with the team as they exited Africa Cup of Nations at the group stage. Reports indicated the Youth and Sports Ministry is convinced that Milovan
Rajevac cannot lead Ghana to the glory land, hence must vacate his position for another gaffer to take over the helm of affairs.
On their part, the Ghana Football Association argued Milovan Rajevac must be allowed to continue as head coach because of how close World Cup qualifiers are. The Ghana Football Association explained that the time is too close for Milovan Rajevac to be sacked since Black Stars will be playing the final round of World Cup qualifiers in March.
The Ghana Football Association, in the meeting added that, sacking Milovan Rajevac will be expensive since he has to be compensated.
Milovan Rajevac led his charges into the competition and lost the opening fixture to Morocco.
Black Stars tried to make amends in the second group game against Gabon but had to fight for a point after taking the lead through skipper Dede Ayew.
In the last group game against Comoros, Black Stars were handed a 3 – 2 shocking defeat.

A suspected thief has been lynched at the forecourt of Ashtown Baptist church in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti.
The man believed to be in his early 30s was reportedly lynched after attempting to steal from the church’s premises on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
An eyewitness who spoke to OTEC News Kwame Agyenim Boateng disclosed that the deceased was lynched at the premises of the church but died in a gutter in front of the facility.
“We heard the noise of some people beating the alleged thief but couldn’t go forward because it was very late somewhere around 1-am in the morning.
“I went to the area early morning only to see the lifeless body of a man in the gutter with bruised all over his body”.
“Some of us who proceeded to the premises of the church saw bloodstains fueling our suspicion that the deceased was first lynched at the area”.
Meanwhile, the security man who was on duty on the said day confirmed to police offers that the suspect was indeed beating tea the church’s premises but was not there as being speculated by others.
He explained that the suspected thief attempted to forcefully enter a car at the church’s premises leading to his beatings by some people around.
Police from Manhyia Divisional Police Command has however invited the security man to assist investigations.
The body has been conveyed to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital autopsy.For his part, the assembly member of Manhyia-Odumase Electoral Area Hon George Baafi expressed worry over the rampant robbery attacks in the area and called on security in the metropolis to take necessary actions to curb the menace.

Close to 30 people including 11 children and a pregnant woman, have died in a stampede at a church in Liberia’s Capital, Monrovia.
According to officials the incident,which occurred at a densely populated area of the capital, happened when a gang of thugs armed with knives attacked some of the congregants during a service at about 9 pm on Wednesday.
The police spokesman said one person has been arrested.
The pastor, Rev. Abraham Kromah, who was holding the ceremony and who runs a church in the New Georgia township of Monrovia, was also brought in for questioning.
The bodies have been taken to the morgue of Redemption Hospital, close to where the incident occurred in a beach area called New Kru Town.
As word spread that people were being robbed on their way out, members of the church, the World of Life Outreach Mission International, tried to get out through a narrow gate in a fence that surrounded the soccer ground, eyewitnesses said.
Liberian president, George Weah, visited the scene on Thursday and declared three days of national mourning.
The Federation of Liberian Youth, a powerful group in a nation where over 60 percent of the population is under 25, said that it was a sign of the “national security emergency facing the nation from its youthful population.”

In a statement released on social media the family asked for their privacy, “It is with great sadness to announce the passing of veteran actor Ntate Patrick Shai. He passed away this morning (22nd January 2022).
“We sincerely ask you to give the family to process this painful loss. More details will be shared in due course” the statement concluded.
The actor noted that he wanted to beat down local rapper, Cassper Nyovest adding that he wants to beat him before he dies.
“Before I die I want to make sure that I’ve beat you so that on my tombstone they can write this is the man who beat Caster or Costa or whatever your sh*t name is … Come you son of a b*tch”
Cassper Nyovest came through with a reply for insulting his mother,
“Who the fuck is that old man and why is he calling my mom a bi**h? Why does my family have to be disrespected like this yo? Fu** this is too much now!!! Modimo nna ha ke sa kgona, ke kopa thuso. (God I can’t do this anymore, I need help.)”
“This is way too much man. I can’t take it. Why are people always disrespecting my family? I’m fucking trapped in this fame shit. I wish I could run up on all you devils and defend my family like any other man would. What is coming to all of yall will be ugly! GOD KNOWS!”

“I apologise from the bottom of my heart, please forgive me and and forgive me South Africans. I am regretting every bit of the last sentence. That I used, I’m sorry”

On the 20th day of January, a tanker carrying an explosive chemicals had an accident on the Bogoso to Kumasi highway. This accident led to the explosion of the chemical leaving a whole town dead. Many people died due to this explosion and many too were injured severely. The explosion also divided the highway into two with a pit between it.
The vice president visited the seen the next day and promised to rebuild the community and also support the victims who survived the incident. He also visited those at the hospital and encouraged them not to give up on life. Just a day after the vice president visited the area, constructors has moved to the site and have started the reconstruction of the highway.

Anthony Alda, a cameraman has been confirmed dead after he was served a poisonous substance. Confirming the news, Dr Mabel Darkwah, a medical superintendent at the Kwadaso SDA hospital, said Anthony was poisoned and the case has been handed over to the police for investigations.
He was rushed to the hospital at 3 this morning but he was already dead upon arrival. I confirmed his death around 3:15 and upon medical examination, it wasn’t a normal or an accidental death but a deliberate one, the medical officer stated.
Anthony, 38, had spent the Friday evening with his friends before going home at midnight. The wife, Bernice Aldah, confirmed her husband’s arrival at home and time of death to have been arranged by his friends.
He arrived home at midnight. It was almost 1 AM when he got home. He refused to take his shower even when I helped him to get into the bathtub. He was drunk and the driver who brought him didn’t even state where he picked him from. All he said was, someone asked him to drop him off in the house and just left, the wife, Bernice said in her report.
Anthony started breathing heavily at 2 AM and was taken to the hospital at 3 but he couldn’t survive as he was confirmed dead upon arrival to the Kwadaso SDA hospital. The wife, Bernice, could not specify where her husband spent the night but all she could state was, the husband sent her a text about having drinks with some friends.
He never specified which friends and wouldn’t even state the area he was in the message. I can’t tell which friends or which area he was in the whole of last night, Bernice said in her report.
Anthony is believed to have been poisoned by his friends but nobody knows where he was given the poison and nobody knows which drinking spot he was last night. The taxi driver who could have given information of where he picked Anthony, or who gave him Anthony to drop him home, is nowhere to be found after Bernice failed to take note of the particulars of the car.
The Kwadaso police have already begun investigations into the case. Anthony was a camera man and the owner of Ant Video and Recording Studios at Kwadaso. He left behind, a wife and a 1-year-old baby boy.
