Ghanaian rapper Medikal has issued a public apology to fellow musician Kofi Kinaata for his absence at the “Made In Tadi” concert. The apology came during Medikal’s own performance, where he explained his absence was due to an unavoidable commitment elsewhere.
Medikal acknowledged the disappointment his no-show might have caused, stating, “I’m sorry Kofi Kinaata. The people of Takoradi, you know I love you, and next year we will do it better.” He further elaborated, “If Kofi Kinaata is listening to me, tell him next year I will show up for him. I had to attend to an equally important issue, hence my inability to show up for his show.”
The rapper also noted the social media fallout from his absence, mentioning that Kofi Kinaata had unfollowed him on social platforms, likely out of frustration. However, Medikal expressed optimism about mending the situation, saying, “I saw that he had unfollowed me but for me, I know he is in his feelings and that after a while, he will follow me back. I love Kofi Kinaata and I will not unfollow him.”
