Ghana’s Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen, has encouraged Ghanaians to be optimistic about the future as 2023 holds a lot of promise. Despite the challenges the country faced in 2022, he believes that measures implemented with the assistance of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will help to improve the situation.
Speaking at the Calvary Charismatic Church in Accra, Kyerematen compared Ghana’s current state to the difficulties being experienced by other countries around the world.
He thanked God for His mercy on Ghanaians at a time when many renowned economies are struggling. Kyerematen stated that even the wealthiest countries, such as the UK, US, Germany, and France, are facing queues for basic necessities like bread, petrol, and cooking oil, but Ghana has been spared this hardship due to God’s grace.
He ended 2022 with prayer visits to several churches to mark the beginning of 2023 and has recently commissioned several factories as part of his goal to industrialize the country.
