The 750 million dollar Afreximbank loan has caused the minority in parliament to reverse course.
The facility and a 250 million one were destroyed by NDC MPs.
However, they asked the government to disclose the purposes for which the $750 million facility will be used.
The Minority abandoned its opposition after the government provided the Parliament with these specifics.
Cassiel Ato Forson, ranking member of the Finance Committee, stated in a floor speech that the action would enable the country’s foreign reserves to be strengthened in order to prevent a complete collapse of the economy.
