If elections were held right now, Mahama would prevail by a margin of 58 percent– New Poll 4

According to a recent survey by Global InfoAnalytics in July 2022, John Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress is in a commanding lead in his campaign to take over as president once more in 2025.

According to the poll, John Mahama currently has a 27 percent advantage against incumbent vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party in a hypothetical race if elections were held right now.

Another 11% would rather cast their ballot for a different candidate in the 2024 elections.

Meanwhile, a staggering 76 percent of Ghanaians think their nation is going in the wrong path, compared to only 16 percent who think it is.

This reflects a huge decline from polls conducted in April 2022, when 26 percent of respondents and 67 percent, respectively, said that things were heading in the wrong direction.

According to the poll, the president’s standing is deteriorating further, with only 23% of respondents saying they approve of the way he is doing his duties as president and 72% saying they disapprove (resulting in a net favorability rating of -49%). (April 2022, negative 40 percent ).
