In 2005, Davies founded Crafter’s Companion, a supplier of materials for crafters. During an internship at a small craft shop, she spotted a need for a tool to make custom envelopes for handmade cards.

With the help of a local carpenter, she designed a product called The Enveloper, which she launched on the Ideal World TV shopping channel and sold 30,000 units in less than six months. By the time she graduated, the company had a turnover of £500,000.

By 2019, Crafter’s Companion will be exporting to more than 40 countries. The company employs 200 people internationally and also has offices in Corona, California, Evesham, Chesterfield and Newton Aycliffe in the UK.

Crafter’s Companion’s turnover in 2018 was reportedly close to £25m. As part of her mentoring work with the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, Davies supports and mentors businesses, while also supporting women in business.

Be Creative, a craft show produced by Local Television Limited (formerly Made in Television), was presented by Davies in 2015. She made her debut on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den on 23 April 2019, as the series’ youngest ever female investor.

Davies took part in the nineteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing from September 2021. She was partnered with Alja Korjanec. They were eliminated after a dance-off with Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin in week 8.

For her services to business, Davies was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2016 New Year’s Honours. Davies has received a number of awards for her efforts as an entrepreneur.

She received the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2010, the Shell Women of the Year Award for Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013. She was also named in the 2015 Young Guns Entrepreneurs of the Year class by startups.co.uk.

She also holds two Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, including the Outstanding Contribution to British Business Award from 2019 and the Santander Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award from 2010.
