Papa Ajasco is dead

It has been reported that Nollywood actor, Femi Ogunrombi, best known for his role as Papa Ajasco, has passed away. The news of his passing was announced by theatre practitioner, Husseini Shaibu.

The cause of his death is currently unknown. Ogunrombi was an ethnomusicologist and former music instructor with the National Troupe.

He was also known for his role in the popular Wale Adenuga comedy series, โ€œPapa Ajasco,โ€ where he took over the character of Papa Ajasco after the former actor, Abiodun Ayoyinka, left the show.

In a post, the theatre practitioner wrote, โ€œI have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with #NATIONALTROUPE and one time stand in for the โ€˜Papa Ajascoโ€™ character on the popular #waleadenugaprod comic series โ€˜Papa Ajascoโ€™ Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is dead.
