Sekondi-Takoradi, July 17, 2026 — The Office of the Mayor of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has announced that Mayor Lawyer Frederick F. Faidoo will today embark on an inspection tour of ongoing District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) projects across the Metropolis.
As part of the tour, the Mayor will officially hand over three newly completed 6-seater water closet (W/C) toilet facilities — each equipped with a borehole and high-level water storage tank — to the following basic schools:
- Mpintsin Zion Basic School
- Ahanta Mampong Basic School
- Bakakyir St. Anne Basic School
The projects are part of the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and promoting proper sanitation and hygiene in schools across the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
In a statement, the Mayor’s Office reaffirmed the Assembly’s dedication to the timely execution of developmental projects and the improvement of living conditions for residents through prudent use of public resources, in line with H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s Resetting Ghana Agenda.
The Mayor will be accompanied by Assembly officials during the inspection and handover ceremonies.
This initiative highlights the continued focus on enhancing school environments and public sanitation in the Western Region.
