Stonebwoy Claims Superiority Over Shatta Wale, Rekindling Year-End Feud

Date:

As the curtains draw on 2024, the feud between two of Ghana’s leading dancehall artists, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, seems to have flared up once more. In a recent interview on Angel FM in Kumasi, Stonebwoy did not hold back, reigniting the rivalry with pointed remarks aimed at Shatta Wale.

Stonebwoy’s comments were sparked by an incident involving his associate, MC Portfolio, who accepted a GH¢5,000 cash gift from Shatta Wale during a live broadcast. Dismissing the gesture, Stonebwoy remarked, “How much is GH¢5,000? By God’s grace, I have more than GH¢5,000 to offer,” highlighting his financial prowess and perhaps belittling the significance of the gift.

The “Bhim Nation” leader also took a jab at Shatta Wale’s upcoming performance on Vybz Kartel’s show in Jamaica. Stonebwoy suggested that while Shatta Wale would be warming up the crowd, he has already transcended that stage, having performed at multiple events in Jamaica and worked on numerous collaborations there. He emphasized his focus now lies in bringing Jamaican artists to Ghana, underscoring his international influence in the dancehall scene.

Stonebwoy’s assertion that “Shatta Wale knows he is not my mate” is a bold claim of superiority, setting the stage for what fans anticipate will be a fiery response from Shatta Wale. This latest episode in their ongoing rivalry has fans and observers eagerly awaiting Shatta Wale’s counter, as the year-end drama unfolds within Ghana’s vibrant music industry.
