Party leaders said on Friday that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has once again halted the parliamentary primaries in three important Ashanti Region constituencies.
Elections in Adansi Asokwa, Fomena, and Manhyia South, according to the NDC, are still postponed till further notice.
On Saturday, September 2, the primaries will take place in Mampong, with Yakubu Issifu and Yahaya Seidu engaged in a heated contest. A total of 1,360 delegates are anticipated to vote.
The Ashanti Regional Secretary, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, told dailymailgh.com that the Electoral Commission and state security officials will be closely monitoring the poll in Mampong.
