John Mahama assures teachers of better days under the next NDC administration

On World Teachers Day, former President John Mahama has assured teachers of better days under the next NDC administration. He has pledged to invest in teacher education and professional development programmes, improve teachers’ remuneration and working conditions, and strengthen the implementation of the free SHS policy.

In a press statement released on October 5, 2023, Mahama said that teachers are the backbone of Ghana’s education system, and that the NDC is committed to providing them with the resources, tools, support, and training they need to deliver good quality education to Ghanaian children.

He also said that the NDC is committed to ensuring that every child in Ghana has equal access to quality education, and that his administration will strengthen the implementation of the free SHS policy by investing in infrastructure, expanding access to educational resources, and improving the overall learning environment in Senior High Schools.
