In a chilling development that has stunned the community of Agwan Sarki, Orozo, near Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), gospel singer and TikTok motivational speaker Timileyin Ajayi was apprehended on January 13, 2025, after being found with the severed head of his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, in a polythene bag.
The horrific incident unfolded when a vigilant motorcyclist spotted blood seeping from a bag Ajayi was carrying, prompting him to alert others. A crowd quickly gathered, intent on taking justice into their own hands, but swift police intervention prevented a potential lynching. Upon searching the bag, authorities confirmed it contained the head of Salome Adaidu.
Subsequent investigations led the police to Ajayi’s home, where they discovered the rest of Adaidu’s body. During police questioning, Ajayi confessed to the murder, citing a violent dispute as the precipitating event. He claimed that during an argument, Adaidu had attempted to stab him, which he used as his defense for the brutal act. This confession was captured in a video that has since circulated widely across social media platforms.
Ajayi, known for his 2020 album ‘God of the Earth’, is currently detained as the police delve deeper into the investigation surrounding this macabre crime.
