As the team ramps up preparations, the majority of the Black Stars players invited for their vital 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Central African Republic (CAR) have arrived in camp.
Only Jordan Ayew and Richard Ofori are yet to join the Black Stars as they continue practicing for their crucial match against CAR; Hughton presently has 23 players available. However, as the key game approaches, it is predicted that the pair will arrive soon.
Both sides will compete against one another on Thursday at the Baba Yara Stadium in an effort to advance to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Ivory Coast in 2024.
On Monday morning, the players started to arrive, including Jonathan Sowah, who was just invited, captain Andre Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, and Osman Bukari.
Hughton is expected to increase efforts and come up with a crafty strategy to outperform their competitors in the absence of crucial players like Thomas Partey and Daniel Amartey.
Ghana would advance to the prestigious championship with a win or a draw after finishing with nine points from five games in Group E of the qualifying rounds, while CAR, who is third behind Angola with seven points, must win by any means necessary to secure their place.
Angola, who has eight points, will compete against Madagascar, who has already been eliminated, in an effort to get to the tournament.
Game time for Ghana is 16:00 GMT.
