Gomoa Potsin: 2 persons burnt to death in gory accident

On Sunday, January 8, an accident occurred at the Tonisco Quarry junction near Gomoa Potsin on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway in the Central Region of the country. A Hyundai Elantra with the license plate GW 4260-22 collided head-on with two other articulated vehicles, both with the license plates GL 736-13 and GS 3913-11.

According to an eyewitness cited by adomonline.com, the Hyundai Elantra was attempting to overtake other vehicles when it collided with the two trucks, causing one of the trucks to veer into a ditch and catch fire.

The driver and his mate, who were trapped in the burning truck, were killed in the accident. The driver of the Hyundai Elantra and a female passenger sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Firefighters from Winneba responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
