Lawson Blevins, West Craven High School Student, Dies in Tragic New Bern Crash

Lawson Blevins, a 17-year-old student from West Craven High School in Vanceboro, North Carolina, lost his life in a car accident in New Bern. The sad news was shared with the community via a social media post on Sunday, December 29th.

Kathy Martin White, a friend of the family from Eden, NC, announced Blevins’ passing with a heartfelt plea for prayers: “Prayers are needed for the family of Lawson Blevins, he had a car wreck and passed away. He was only 17 years old and was very loved by his family. Please God be with his family, his mother Jamie, his grandmother, Brenda, and his aunt Amy God, please wrap them in your loving arms and comfort them in their time of need.”

The West Craven High School FFA chapter also honored Blevins with a tribute, expressing their profound sorrow and sending condolences to all those who knew and loved him. Their message highlighted the communal grief and support for Blevins’ family and friends during this difficult period.
