Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has expressed his disappointment at his arch rival, Stonebwoy, for scheduling his annual concert on the same day and at the same venue as his own upcoming festival.

Shatta Wale and Medikal had previously announced a five-day festival called the “Freedom Wave Festival,” which was scheduled to take place from December 20-25 at the Accra Sports Stadium. However, a few days later, Stonebwoy also announced his annual end-of-year concert on December 22 at the same venue.

In a live video on Facebook, Shatta Wale expressed his frustration with the situation, stating that he and his team had been working hard to make the “Freedom Wave Festival” a success. However, he was informed of the date clash and asked to move his event to a different date and venue, while Stonebwoy’s concert would be allowed to proceed as planned.

Shatta Wale also alleged that the President’s daughter had helped Stonebwoy to secure the Accra Sports Stadium for his concert.

The clash of dates between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s concerts has sparked a debate among Ghanaians, with some fans expressing their support for Shatta Wale, while others have defended Stonebwoy.

It remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved. However, one thing is for sure: the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy is one of the most intense in Ghanaian music.
