
The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect for operating an unlicensed clinic in his residence at Yeji Zongo, according to a press release issued on October 1, 2025, by the Ghana Police Service.
The suspect, identified as Hanson Osei, was arrested on September 28, 2025, following intelligence that led police to his residence. Authorities discovered that Osei had converted a chamber-and-hall room into a clinic.
A search of the premises uncovered several used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical materials. During interrogation, Osei admitted to operating the clinic for the past eleven years without authorization from any recognized medical school or licensing authority.
The suspect was presented before the Tuobodom District Court on September 30, 2025, and has been remanded to reappear on October 6, 2025. The case is being overseen by ASP/MR. Appiah Danquah, Ag. P.R.O of the Bono East Region.
