The positions of the candidates on the New Patriotic Party’s vote paper for the next presidential primary super delegates meeting have been decided.

On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, the party and the Electoral Commission cast ballots for the positions of the candidates after approving 10 flagbearer candidates for the primary.

The Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, will be listed first on the ballot, according the election results.

John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former minister of trade and industry, Kwadwo Poku, a former minister of railroads, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a former minister of agriculture, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former general secretary of the party, will follow him.

Following them in that order will be Francis Addai-Nimoh, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Prior to the main congress, which is set on November 4, 2023, the super delegates’ meeting, which aims to reduce the number of candidates to five, will take place on August 26, 2023.

After the voting is complete, it is anticipated that candidates will intensify their campaigns by interacting with their supporters and those delegates who have been chosen to attend the super delegates’ congress to make sure they are aware of where they are on the ballot.
