Controversial religious leader Nana Agradaa has taken to social media to fire strong remarks at Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, a former Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a key figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a post shared on her official Facebook page, “Today’s TV Live,” Agradaa dismissed Agyapong’s political ambitions, stating that he will never become President of Ghana.
“Ken, that is why you are not the president and remember you can never be president in this country. Apuu,” she wrote, before signing off with, “My name is Agradaa.”
Agradaa Doubles Down With Video Post
Following her initial post, Agradaa shared a video featuring NDC sympathizer Appiah Stadium, who also criticized Kennedy Agyapong over his comments regarding the Agradaa-Sammy Gyamfi saga.
In the footage, Appiah Stadium accused Agyapong of hypocrisy and called on him to retire from politics, asserting that he has no chance of ever becoming Ghana’s president.
Agradaa reinforced this stance in the caption of the video, further attacking Agyapong’s personality. She mocked his health condition, claiming that he is not fit enough to engage in political discussions.
“Ken, take your stroke and go and sleep. When the strong people are talking, take your stroke come to say some,” she wrote.
Background of the Controversy
Agradaa’s remarks follow Kennedy Agyapong’s recent speech at Central University, where he voiced his disapproval of President John Dramani Mahama’s decision to pardon Sammy Gyamfi after the latter was embroiled in a scandal over gifting dollar bills to Agradaa.
According to Agyapong, he would have fired Sammy Gyamfi immediately if he were the president, stating, “If I were the president, right away, not even a second.”
