Nana Aba Anamoah Labels Ken Ofori-Atta as Ghana’s Worst Finance Minister

In the wake of a reported military-style raid on the Cantonments residence of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, journalist Nana Aba Anamoah has sharply criticized his tenure. In a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Anamoah described Ofori-Atta as “the worst finance minister the country has ever had,” suggesting that recent events might be a form of accountability for his actions.

The raid, which occurred on February 11, 2025, while Ofori-Atta was out of the country, was carried out by individuals dressed in military attire. The motives behind the operation remain unclear, stirring significant public debate and speculation.

Anamoah did not hold back in her assessment, stating, “I render no apologies when I say that this man is receiving his comeuppance. The worst finance minister, who hid his true colors behind Bible quotes and white outfits.” She further commented on his frequent use of religious rhetoric, saying, “Whatever he experiences now is fine. I’m certain he will find a quote for it in the good book, as usual.”

Adding to the controversy, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has now declared Ken Ofori-Atta wanted in connection with four major corruption investigations. These include the National Cathedral project and dealings with Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML). Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, during a press briefing on February 12, 2025, urged Ofori-Atta to return to Ghana to assist with the investigations.
