In a thrilling encounter at the London Stadium, Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus proved instrumental once again for West Ham United, netting his third goal of the season to salvage a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brighton took the lead just six minutes into the second half when a misjudged cross by West Ham’s goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański fell kindly to Mats Wieffer, who composedly side-footed the ball into the net.

Although Brighton’s goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen managed to deflect the initial attempt, Kudus was in the right place at the right time, heading the rebound into the net in the 68th minute to restore parity.
