Meet the two children of Cobus Reinach 2

Professional rugby union player from South Africa named Cobus Reinach has achieved great success both nationally and internationally.

Reinach, a scrum-half who was born on February 7th, 1990, is well renowned for his mobility and shrewd game management. He is well-known for both his skill and his essential contribution to the Springbok squad that won the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Cobus and Frances Reinach’s family, which consists of two gorgeous children, has been quite fortunate. Their daughter Elia and son Richard fill their home with warmth and excitement. Elia, the younger sibling, and Richard, the older brother, each provide something special to the family dynamic and bring a sense of fulfillment and community to their lives.
Cobus and Frances take great satisfaction in raising their kids and assisting them on their journey through life. Along with receiving their parents’ love and care, Richard and Elia also grow to be unique individuals with their own personalities and interests.
Cobus Reinach, a native of Bloemfontein, started playing rugby at prestigious Grey College. He began his rugby career by representing the Free State at the youth level. In 2009, he ventured to Durban and joined the Sharks. He spent a portion of his club career with SA Home Loans Durban Collegians while playing for the Sharks.

With the Sharks XV in the Vodacom Cup, Reinach made his debut in senior rugby, making 17 appearances and scoring three tries in the 2011 and 2012 seasons. He was selected for the Sharks Currie Cup team as a result of these outstanding efforts, and he made his debut in the 2011 Currie Cup with two caps. Over the course of the following two seasons, as he rotated with the more seasoned Charl McLeod at scrum-half, his role changed. Notably, he defeated Western Province twice to win the Currie Cup in 2013 and finish as runner-up in 2012.

Reinach’s ascent continued, and once McLeod left for Grenoble at the end of the 2014 Super Rugby season, he became the Sharks’ undeniable first-choice scrum-half. In 2012, he made his Super Rugby debut, and over the ensuing years, his playing time rapidly grew. Reinach started all 12 of the regular season games he was available for in 2014 despite missing four games due to injury. He had a significant effect, scoring six tries, including a memorable one against the Crusaders in Christchurch.

The beginning of Cobus Reinach’s exposure to the world came in 2017 with a huge transfer to English team Northampton Saints in the Aviva Premiership. After leaving Northampton for the 2020–21 season, he joined Montpellier in the Top 14 to continue his adventure.

Reinach made a remarkable transition to the main Springbok team at the age of 24, despite never having represented his nation at an age-group level. Due to Fourie du Preez’s injury, he was called up to the Springbok squad for the 2014 Rugby Championship and swiftly adjusted to the competitive environment. In a noteworthy victory over Australia, Reinach made his debut as Francois Hougaard’s replacement in the second half. He kept making an impression, and the following week, he was a key component in South Africa’s triumph over New Zealand.

With his outstanding performance in the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Cobus Reinach adds yet another illustrious chapter to his international career. He achieved the fastest hat-trick in Rugby World Cup history on October 8, 2019, when he scored a hat-trick in a crushing 66-7 victory over Canada. Under his guidance, South Africa went on to win the competition by defeating England in the championship game.

Jacobus Reinach’s rugby career serves as a shining example of commitment and excellence, demonstrating his talent at both the club and international levels and cementing his legacy in rugby history.
