The newly re-elected President John Dramani Mahama attended a worship service at the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre in Ahenema Kokoben, Kumasi, on Sunday. The church, led by the prominent Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour, welcomed the president with open arms.
The visit on January 19, 2025, comes shortly after Mahama’s victory in the 2024 Ghanaian presidential elections, serving as his first major public engagement since taking office. The event was not just a spiritual gathering but also a significant moment of unity and national solidarity.
During the service, Prophet Ebenezer Yiadom offered heartfelt prayers for President Mahama, wishing for divine guidance, wisdom, and health as he navigates the challenges of leading Ghana. Opambour praised Mahama for his humility and commitment to national development, emphasizing the importance of spiritual strength in governance.
The congregation was visibly moved by the president’s presence, with many expressing their support and hope for the country’s future under his leadership.
After the church service, Mahama was set to attend the Akwasidae Festival at Manhyia Palace with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, showcasing the cultural and traditional aspects of Ghanaian society.
