Sam Nartey George, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, has urged members of his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), not to be alarmed by recent remarks made by Bryan Acheampong, the Minister of Food and Agriculture.

Bryan Acheampong declared that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will never cede power to the opposition NDC in 2025 following the “Walk to Build A Better Ghana” with a large group of NPP supporters on April 8, 2023 in Mpreaso-Kwahu in the Eastern Region.

He warned that if the NDC attempted to use intimidation and violence in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, the NPP would demonstrate to the NDC that they had the “men.”

“The NDC party will fall. We will let the NDC know we have the men if they dare to use threats, violence, and blunder in the 2024 election. We’ll demonstrate to them that we have men.

“The men are here. We, the NPP, will never stand on a platform to hand the NDC the keys to the country. It won’t ever take place! Acheampong, who is also the MP for Abetifi, declared, “We would do everything in our power to ensure that NPP remains in power.

Sam George responded to this by saying that the NDC should not be sidetracked by “scarecrows and hype simpletons” like Bryan Acheampong in a post published on Facebook on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

He went on to say that party members shouldn’t be afraid by someone who completed a “6-month military camp” in the United States of America since they are “revolutions” offspring.

We are concerned about the rants of scarecrows and their attempts to elevate simpletons to cult status. On my mind are Joe Anokye and Bryan Acheampong.

“Can we return to our earlier days? We are revolution’s offspring! Can we expose these frauds and challenge them to try? Do those who completed a six-month military course now pose a threat to the NDC? I mean how?! Let’s quit celebrating those who don’t deserve our attention and focus on what we have to do,” parts of Sam Georges’ article with was intended to NDC supporters, read.
