The ongoing problem of money being stolen from the former minister of sanitation and water resources’ home seems to be getting worse every day.

The most recent of her problems is a report submitted to various US federal organizations requesting an investigation on the basis of possible money laundering.

The complaint specifically mentions the $1 million that was reportedly part of the overall amount of money that domestic staff stole from her private property.

Grace Loki, the petitioner, claims that she was driven to file the petitions because she had little confidence in the Ghanaian government and its institutions to conduct a complete inquiry.

“I have written to the FBI, the Federal Reserve, Treasury Department, the DEA, and pretty much every US government agency interested in questions of money laundering. The main reason is that I don’t have any confidence that Nana Addo will use tricks and tactics to make sure the woman gets away with the matter.

“Nana Addo would do everything it takes to ensure that the woman leaves; we have seen some before, even under the NDC.

“I’ll see to it that she’s probed by the IRS and made to pay taxes if she has any property in the US. We all pay taxes in America, and the law requires us to report our income even when we send money to Ghana for investments. I’m not sure if Cecilia Dapaah has paid the necessary taxes on the money that was taken by the employees, even though we are required to file tax returns after declaring earnings. But even if she won the lottery, everyone is required to pay taxes on their earnings, she said in a Facebook Live interview with OBGhPage.
