On October 27, 2022, former president John Dramani Mahama gave a speech to the people.
The speech, delivered in the UPSA Auditorium, dealt on the nation’s current economic difficulties, high inflation rates, and the depreciation of the cedi.
Mr. Mahama outlined several remedies to these problems and encouraged the government to reduce spending by lowering the number of ministers and appointments. Additionally, he encouraged the government to delay unimportant projects and dissolve or restructure governmental agencies with identical roles.
Once more, the NDC’s 2020 presidential candidate endorsed calls for the resignation of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, saying that doing so won’t have any bearing on the talks Ghana is now having with the IMF.
