Dzatа Cement Limited has issued a public announcement addressing a recent video circulating online that allegedly shows counterfeit bags of cement linked to their brand. After a thorough review, the company has confirmed that the cement depicted in the video is not genuine Dzatа Cement.
The company revealed that fraudsters have been tampering with their packaging by opening authentic Dzatа Cement bags, replacing the contents with inferior cement, and reselling them. This issue is not unique to Dzatа Cement, as counterfeiting and bag tampering have long been a challenge facing the cement industry in Ghana. With the support of law enforcement, the culprits have already been apprehended, and investigations are ongoing.
In the statement, Dzatа Cement assured customers and partners that their production quality remains unchanged. Every bag undergoes strict quality control at the factory, emphasizing that the problem stems from criminal tampering, not the product itself. To protect consumers, the company urged the public to purchase Dzatа Cement only from authorized distributors and retailers and to report any suspicious or tampered bags to their hotline at +233 24 194 1846.
Managing Director Nafisa Mahama expressed gratitude for the trust placed in Dzatа Cement and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality cement, proudly made in Ghana. “Together with industry stakeholders, we remain committed to delivering the highest-quality cement, proudly made in Ghana, while fighting against fraud that hurts customers and the industry at large,” she said.
Dzatа Cement continues to collaborate with authorities to address this issue and maintain the integrity of their brand.
