Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, has named Dr. Edward Omane Boamah as the new Minister for Defence. This appointment comes as part of a broader cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening the administration’s security and foreign policy teams.
In related appointments, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is set to lead the Foreign Affairs Ministry, pending approval from Parliament’s Appointment Committee. Meanwhile, Muntaka Mohammed, the Member of Parliament for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, has been appointed to head the Interior Ministry.
Additionally, Felix Ofosu Kwakye has been confirmed in his role as the Minister of State responsible for Government Communications.
