Ferguson, known for his leadership as President of the Alaska Sno-X Lions Club and his humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, left a significant mark in both spheres.
Details surrounding the accident remain limited, but the news of Ferguson’s death has rippled through the community, with many expressing their grief on social media. Cale Voos, a community member, shared his sentiments on Facebook, stating, “The snowmobile community and the world lost a truly amazing man. Rest in peace, Dane Ferguson. You will always be loved & remembered. I still remember our brief conversations like it was yesterday. Your time and the advice given truly meant the world to me.”
Ferguson was instrumental in teaching snowmachine safety to the youth through his role at the Alaskan Sno-X Lions Club.
