I facilitate death of suffering elderly patients in USA – Ayisha Modi

Music investor and socialite Ayisha Modi has shed more light on her profession as a live-in caregiver and certified nursing assistant in the United States.

Ayisha said she is licensed to administer injections to patients to help them die slowly, with the consent of the family and a doctor’s order.

Ayisha Modi said that in most cases her services are used after a doctor has declared that a ‘suffering old patient’ has little time to live.

She added that there are instances where elderly patients battling serious illnesses ask to be taken through the process.

Ayisha, who noted that she has been in the profession for 14 years, said she has administered lethal injections to about 200 patients.

“There are some patients who have a limited time on earth. Maybe a week or two. I have the licence to give them a shot to help them die. There are patients who want to die, so in that case we give them morphine. It puts them to sleep and kills them slowly. For patients who smoke, their lungs do not work properly at one stage, so this helps them to breathe properly. If the patients do not have food and water in their system for about two days and you give them the morphine, they will die faster. I have the licence to do all this. I’ve upgraded from just being a live-in to being a nurse’s aide, so I can do all that. Families call me after their parents have been told they will die in three months. I have facilitated the deaths of about 200 patients in 14 years. My last patient, who died before I came to Ghana, left me a cheque and three gold chains.

He said: “You can’t do this job if you don’t have empathy. Because you’re taking care of someone’s family, property like your own. I got a lot out of it. I have a friend who married her patient, and when he died, the property was left to her. I have about five gold chains that were given to me by my patients,” he said in the interview monitored by GhanaWeb.

While making all these claims, Ayisha Modi took out her phone and showed the camera pictures of one of her patients lying on her deathbed.

Although the host, Kofi Adoma, instructed his videographers not to focus on the images, which could constitute an invasion of privacy, Ayisha Modi insisted that they record them.

“The family has given me permission so you can record it,” she said.

Revealing how lucrative the business is, Ayisha said,

“I have a license as a nurse’s aide and I could work in hospitals, but I prefer the live-in business because I make more money than those who work in hospitals. Those who are in this profession are very rich. They can afford houses and everything they want, so I have my apartment in New York. What I make in a week is what my mother makes in a month. I make $500 a day and more. My mother, who does the same job, has a house in Atlanta, Georgia. You can’t do this work if you don’t have papers.

National Cathedral is now an avenue for fraud, corruption, suspend it – NDC MP

Member of Parliament for Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak has on the government to with immediate effect suspend the National Cathedral project.

The lawmaker argued that the entire project is shrouded in opacity and totally unnecessary.

Dr. Apaak said there are several disagreements among the trustees as to what should be done forcing some of them to resign from the board.

He indicated that from the issue of the contractors, architects and other stakeholders, the cathedral project lacks transparency, and accountability and is an avenue for corruption.

He said contrary to what President Akufo-Addo told Ghanaians that the cathedral project will ensure unity among the people, especially Christians, it is rather dividing the people due to the controversies surrounding the project.

He also wonders what kind of God will accept a cathedral built on lies, corruption, controversies, a lack of transparency, and a lack of accountability.

Dr. Clement Apaak also stated that the capitation grant has not been paid to the various basic schools across the country for two years, but the government is still embarking on this project.

He noted that the budgets of the School for the Deaf, the School for the Blind, and other special schools in the country have been cut, despite the government’s determination to build the cathedral.

“What kind of God would accept a cathedral in a country where the capitation grant has been unpaid for two years? What kind of God will accept a cathedral where we can’t even feed our schoolchildren? Which God will accept a cathedral where schools are unable to purchase chalk, have their desks destroyed, and face numerous challenges that make teaching and learning difficult? Which God will accept a cathedral built on deception, fraud, corruption, and theft? At this point, I believe we should put the cathedral project on hold and move on “.

It is now clear that the cathedral is a product of deception, which is why there are controversies. It has not been presented to us truthfully.

Meanwhile, he has served notice that Ken Ofori-Atta, who “illegally” appropriated funds for the cathedral project without parliamentary approval, will be held accountable when the time comes.

He emphasized that, given the current economic crisis, the project should be halted.

Ghanaians will regret it if they don’t support National Cathedral project – Apostle Amoako Atta

Founder and General Overseer of the Lord’s Parliament Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako-Atta, has warned that Ghanaians will come to regret their inaction regarding President Akufo-Addo’s National Cathedral project.

According to the Apostle, the president’s idea is a laudable one that will unleash heavenly favour and supernatural growth on the country.

“The cathedral will be the center of religious tourism in Africa. If Ghanaians don’t support the project, foreign investors will take over the building and management of the holy building, and Ghanaians will have to pay to get in”, he said. This, he hinted, will make Ghanaians remorseful if they don’t support the project.

Known in religious circles as the “Practical Strategic Preacher,” the Life Coach made the declaration on Friday in an interview with Speaker Nana Fianko, host of Atinka TV’s flagship current affairs show, “The Agenda.”

He was proud of the judges who gave up their homes without a second thought so that the historical monument could be built. This action, he mentioned, has touched the Lord’s heart and would make him shine His face upon the nation’s judiciary. He added that the cathedral is well located for its purpose.

Reacting to criticisms about the project, Apostle Amoako-Attah opined that the naysayers lack sufficient knowledge of how God works and are blind to the economic and spiritual significance of the project to the country, the sub-region, and Africa at large. He asked the President and the National Cathedral Secretariat to stay strong and focus on the job at hand for God and country.

Nevertheless, Apostle Amoako-Attah bemoaned the slow pace of the building project.

According to him, the fact that, the project is barely at the foundation three years after the fundraising is an eyesore and leaves a lot to be desired.
