Cuzzi’s umpiring career suffered a setback in 1993 since there were no full-time roles in the top league available for him. Despite being freed, he maintained his love of umpiring by working as a bartender and substitute teacher. During this period, he happened to cross paths with National League president Len Coleman, who offered him the option to resume umpiring under the condition that he progressed from the lowest minor leagues.

In 1999, Cuzzi officiated 49 games for the NL. He was elevated to the full-time major league staff in 2000.

Cuzzi has overseen important games throughout his career, including the 2013 Wild Card Game, numerous Division Series contests, the 2005, 2014, and 2019 National League Championship Series, and Game 1 of the 2017 World Series. Additionally, he officiated the All-Star Games in 2008 and 2019.

Jock Zonfrillo cause of Death

Jock Zonfrillo cause of Death – Barry Zonfrillo, better known by his first name Jock, was a Scottish chef and television host who lived in Melbourne, Australia.

Along with Andy Allen and Melissa Leong, he served as one of the judges on the well-liked cooking competition show MasterChef Australia. Zonfrillo founded The Orana Foundation, an organization devoted to conserving and honoring the culinary legacy of Australia’s indigenous people, in addition to his work on the show. Zonfrillo passed dead on April 30, 2023, when he was 46 years old.

Martin Krammer, an apprentice chef, was purposefully set on fire by Jock Zonfrillo in 2002 because he was working too slowly. As a result, he was found liable for damages totaling more than $75,000. In May 2007, after a successful creditors’ petition in the Federal Magistrates Court, Krammer declared Zonfrillo bankrupt. Zonfrillo, according to Krammer, never gave him any money.

But Zonfrillo established The Orana Foundation in 2016 to save the traditional ingredients and methods of cooking used by Indigenous Australians. In October 2017, the charity got The Good Food Guide Food for Good Award. Despite this, questions about Zonfrillo’s charity management were voiced in the media. In September 2020, he sued Nationwide News for defamation. The case was settled out of court, and in December 2020, The Australian newspaper published an apology.

With around $3.2 million in unpaid bills when Restaurant Orana and Bistro Blackwood entered voluntary administration in October 2020, Zonfrillo was in financial difficulty. Investigations were being done into possible director responsibilities violations, related party loans, and whether the restaurant companies were operating while insolvent. After Orana closed, Zonfrillo was forced to sell his family’s home in Adelaide Hills.

The Sydney Morning Herald criticized Zonfrillo’s autobiography, Last Shot, which was released by Simon & Schuster in July 2021 for its dubious assertions, such as that he visited “hundreds of Indigenous communities” and claims of drug use. The book’s subject, Marco Pierre White, refuted the allegations and stated that “almost everything he has written about me is untrue.” Asserting the book’s legitimacy, Simon & Schuster described it as “a historical account written from the personal knowledge of the subject writing it.”

Alan and the others are aware that Bawumia will prevail-Dr. Mustapha Hamid

According to Dr. Mustapha Hamid, CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), all other candidates in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) race for flagbearer know that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win, but they are only competing because it is within their legal rights to do so.

I support Dr. Bawumia, though. He’ll prevail in the NPP primary. There is no question in the world. Oh, yes. That’s it. I have no doubt that the other candidates for flagbearer are aware. But since it’s a competition, it’s acceptable for them to attend, he asserted.

Former trade minister Alan Kyeremanten, former NPP general secretary Kwabena Agyapong, independent MP Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, and former agriculture minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto are other candidates for the job of flagbearer. Dr. Hamid claims that each of these people is aware that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win the competition. He believes that Dr. Bawumia is the greatest candidate to lead the NPP due to his outstanding performance as Vice President and other attributes.

First off, he’s arguably been the Fourth Republic’s most active Vice President. You would concur that this Vice President has been at the forefront of policy and hasn’t just sat back as Vice President; rather, he’s at the forefront of putting things into action,” he continued.

Elections for the NPP flagbearership are set for November 2023, as campaigns heat up and voters reveal their prejudices.

Oppong-Nkrumah hatched plot to bring me down over galamsey fight

Oppong-Nkrumah,frimpong boateng

In a letter to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Chairman of the disbanded Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, said that Information Minister Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah was plotting to assassinate him.

The purpose of the 37-page report, dated March 19, 2021, submitted by the former minister of environment, science, and technology was to inform the president about the Committee’s efforts to combat illicit mining and the “way forward.”

According to Countryghana, the former minister made a number of accusations in his report against several members of the government and political parties who allegedly tried to obstruct his efforts to crack down on illegal mining.

The Minister for Information is one of the prominent figures named in the report, and Mr. Frimpong Boateng claims that she collected and encouraged a group of journalists to attack him.

“On February 8, 2020, on a Saturday. At the Forest Hotel in Dodowa, Mr. Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, the Minister for Information, gathered a group of journalists from media organizations connected with the NDC and the NPP to devise a plan to bring me, Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, down. A journalist in the group called a friend of mine who is also a journalist while they were there and told him about the plot that was being devised. He also warned my friend to keep an eye out for news stories in select newspapers the days after the meeting, according to the article.

Following the aforementioned meeting, the president was informed in a report that several media reports had been made about him and that, in addition, the minister of information had attempted to discredit him in cabinet meetings.

“On Monday, February 10, 2020, the INFORMER Newspaper, whose Editor attended the meeting, ran the following banner headline on its front page: “As if that weren’t enough, on February 13 at the 71st Cabinet Meeting, Mr. Oppong-Nkrumah discussed recent news stories that were trending.

The 500 missing excavators in Frimpong-Boateng were the first items he brought up, according to the former minister.

Prof. Frimpong Boateng claimed in his report that Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and other Committee members obstructed his work.

It should be noted that Mr. Oppong-Nkrumah, in his capacity as Minister for Information, was a member of the IMCIM. He never contacted me to ask what I knew about the “missing excavators,” but for reasons best known to him and his accomplices, he thought it was worthwhile to magnify the falsehood in the press and also present it before Cabinet. If Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah and people like him are interested in running for president, they should do so on the basis of merit rather than trying to discredit a devoted patriot whose only goal is to help Ghana become self-sufficient.

“Oppong-Nkrumah frequently blamed the government’s handling of the “banking crisis and the galamsey fight” for the NPP’s underwhelming showing in the wake of the 2020 general election. The truth is that the hundreds of thousands of residents of the communities adjoining the forests reserves—people who were being harassed by mining corporations like Heritage Imperial—were the ones who did not vote for the NPP in the galamsey areas, not the miners.

Prof. Frimpong Boateng claimed that his retirement from the Science and Technology Ministry was the result of a complex plot by some members of the administration and the New Patriotic Party after being removed from office by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2020.

Because of his stance on illegal mining in the nation, he said that some members of the administration wanted him out.
