Chef Smith’s Controversial Cook-a-thon: Kwame Sefa shocked over Fake certificate 2

Ghanaian radio personality Kwame Sefa Kayi recently expressed shock and disappointment over the unfolding controversy surrounding Chef Ebenezer Smith, also known as Chef Smith. The chef made headlines by falsely claiming to have secured a Guinness World Records (GWR) title for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Here’s the story:

  1. The Bold Announcement: On July 2, 2024, Chef Smith confidently declared that he had set a new record by cooking continuously for an astonishing 802 hours and 25 minutes. During a press conference, he proudly displayed a certificate purportedly from GWR, announcing his achievement.
  2. The Unraveling Truth: Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for doubts to emerge. Investigative journalist Derek Edem Kojo raised questions about the authenticity of Chef Smith’s claim. Was the certificate genuine? Was he truly the record holder?
  3. The PR Manager’s Verdict: Madalyn Bielfield, PR Manager for Guinness World Records, swiftly responded. She confirmed that Chef Smith’s certificate was indeed a forgery. The real record holder for the longest cooking marathon remained Alan Fisher, not Chef Smith.
  4. Kwame Sefa Kayi’s Disappointment: Kwame Sefa Kayi, on his Kokrokoo show, expressed his dismay. “Why would you do that?” he wondered aloud. The radio host felt genuinely pained by the deception. Chef Smith’s false claim had left him baffled and saddened.
