Sergeant Lotsu Agbeko, a police officer, was arrested for allegedly possessing Indian hemp-like compounds.

On Tuesday, June 14, the incident occurred.

When officers on duty signaled him to stop at a Police barrier at Have in the Volta Region, the officer, who is stationed at the Formed Police Unit (FPU) in Accra, refused.

As a result, the on-duty cops, Inspector Azumah Komla Justice and Felix Diameh, pursued the suspect, who was engaged in an accident on the Kpeve Mountain. He sustained an injury to his left hand.

The suspect is being treated at the Police Hospital under police guard, according to a statement made by the police on Tuesday. As soon as Sergeant Lotsu Agbeko is released, he will be brought before the court.

“From his car, police discovered 84 packets of compressed dry leaves believed to be Indian hemp. The exhibits have been kept, and the investigation is still ongoing, according to a police statement.

The two policemen have since been promoted by the Service for their role in the arrest of their coworker.
