Ghana mourns the passing of former First Lady Theresa Kufuor, who died on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She served as First Lady from 2001 to 2009, during which time she founded the Mother to Child Community Development Foundation to promote child development and prevent the transmission of diseases from mothers to their children.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Kufuor was also a passionate advocate for social justice and education. She was a beloved figure in Ghana, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
Mrs Kufuor, nee Mensah, is reported to have passed away on Sunday, October 1.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has already visited the residence of former President Kufuor to extend his condolence.
