Earlier last week,Ukraine experience an attack from Russia that has been the topic ever since it was initiated thereby making Ghanaian nationals especially student felt stranded.

There have been numerous calls begging for the Government of Ghana to come in their aid on various Media Houses.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional integration of the Republic of Ghana has issued a press Release on the ongoing excavation of Ghanaians in Ukraine.

The new update is that,in alignment with the leadership of Berne,Switzerland and Honouring Consulate in Ukraine,the Ministry is in touch with Ghanaian students to which their names are listed to facilitate the excavation exercise.

The challenges so far is the closure of the Ukraine airspace that has made it difficult to airlift Ghanaians from Kiev and othe part of the country.

The only available medium is by land through neighbouring countries like Slovakia,Hungary and Belarus.

The Ministry through the Government of Ghana has placed the necessary package to facilitate transportation,accommodation,feeding and medical supports to ease the burden on compatriots.
