Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that he does not believe in attacking opponents, especially during political primaries.

In an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM, Bawumia said that he believes that politics should be based on issues and not on personal attacks.

“I don’t believe in attacking opponents,” Bawumia said. “I believe in talking about the issues and what we can do for the people of Ghana.”

Bawumia’s statement comes ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries, which are scheduled to take place in 2023. The NPP is the governing party in Ghana, and Bawumia is one of the potential candidates for the party’s presidential nomination.
