Ghanaian media personality and actress Afia Schwarzenegger has confirmed rumors about her employment as an Uber driver in the United States, responding to claims made by her long-time rival, Chris Vincent Agyapong. In a video statement, Schwarzenegger addressed the public speculation, revealing her occupation with a sense of pride and defiance.

“Yes, it’s true. I’m an Uber driver in the United States,” Schwarzenegger stated, acknowledging the surprise of her fans and the media. She appeared in the video to clarify her stance, emphasizing that there was no reason for the uproar. “I’ve been getting so many messages, and people are acting like this is some huge revelation. But honestly, I don’t know why it’s such a big deal,” she remarked.

Schwarzenegger explained that she had previously hinted at this career move on her social media platforms, suggesting that her driver’s license would open up opportunities like driving for Uber. “I’ve been saying this for a while now—if my driver’s license qualifies me to drive for Uber, then why not? It’s a legit job,” she said, defending her choice by highlighting the legitimacy and potential of the job.

She went on to critique the societal perceptions of such work, particularly among immigrants, and praised the intelligence required to navigate this line of work. “It takes intelligence to do this work. A lot of people, especially immigrants, might not want to do it, but for me, it’s a business opportunity. I’m making money, and I’m independent,” Schwarzenegger declared, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and independence.

The actress also took the opportunity to address her critics, asserting her success and independence. “To those who criticize me and wish for my downfall, I say this: I’m doing just fine. I’m independent, and I’m financially successful. My hustle is real,” she said, reinforcing the value of hard work and self-reliance over societal judgment.
