Ghanaian rapper Medikal has urged the organizers of the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) to ensure complete fairness in determining the winner of the prestigious Artiste of the Year category.
Following the recent announcement of nominations—which include heavy contenders such as Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Sarkodie, and Diana Hamilton—Medikal declared that he has outperformed every other nominee throughout the past year.
In a pointed message, he insisted there should be no manipulation or bias in the process, famously stating: “No libilibi, no labalaba” for the Artiste of the Year award.
Medikal, who secured eight nominations overall in this edition, appears confident in his body of work and impact, positioning himself as a strong frontrunner in what promises to be one of the most competitive races at the awards.
The 27th TGMA nominations were unveiled recently, sparking widespread discussions among fans and industry observers about who will ultimately claim Ghana’s top music honor. 🇬🇭
