London, March 9, 2026 — Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie, widely regarded as one of Africa’s greatest MCs, achieved a major career milestone over the weekend by selling out London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall during the debut edition of Rapperholic UK. The concert, held on March 6, 2026 — coinciding with Ghana’s Independence Day celebrations — drew a capacity crowd of approximately 5,300 fans, marking a significant moment for Ghanaian music on the global stage.

The event, promoted in collaboration with organizers including Bizzle Entertainment and Kilimanjaro Live, featured Sarkodie delivering a high-energy set that had the audience on their feet throughout. Fans and commentators described the performance as electrifying, with the “Landlord” of African rap commanding the stage in signature style. Videos circulating online captured the electric atmosphere, with the crowd chanting along to classic hits and newer material alike.

Sarkodie expressed deep gratitude to his team and supporters in a post-event message. He specifically thanked Bizzle Entertainment CEO Berny Sarfo and other partners for helping create what he called a “landmark moment” for his brand and Ghanaian culture abroad. The show also highlighted the growing international appeal of African hip-hop, with Sarkodie joining an elite list of artists — including global icons like Jay-Z and Adele — to headline the historic venue.

In a surprise announcement during the concert, Sarkodie revealed plans to escalate the Rapperholic experience even further. The UK edition will return on March 6, 2027, this time at the much larger The O2 Arena in London, which holds a capacity of around 20,000. Pre-sale tickets are already available, and anticipation is building rapidly among fans worldwide.

Rapperholic began as Sarkodie’s flagship annual concert series in Ghana, evolving from its roots tied to his critically acclaimed 2012 debut album Rapperholic (released February 16, 2012, featuring 18 tracks including collaborations with Obrafour, KK Fosu, and Castro). Over the years, the Rapperholic brand has grown into a cultural institution, with past editions including “Rapperholic Rebirth” in 2023 and major homecoming shows.

Industry observers view the Royal Albert Hall sell-out and the O2 announcement as evidence of Sarkodie’s enduring influence and the expanding footprint of Ghanaian and African music internationally. As one fan put it online: “From Tema to the world — Sark keeps proving why he’s the king.”

With the 2027 O2 show already generating buzz, Rapperholic continues to solidify its status as more than just a concert — it’s a movement celebrating rap excellence, Ghanaian pride, and African storytelling on the biggest stages possible. Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early for what promises to be an even grander celebration next year.
