Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis has joined Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
The 25-year-old Nigeria international arrived at the City Ground last summer from Watford, but he struggled for regular game time under manager Steve Cooper, making just 25 appearances and scoring two goals.
Dennis was left out of Forest’s 25-man Premier League squad for the current campaign, and he has now made the move to Basaksehir in search of more first-team opportunities.
He will be hoping to help the Turkish club improve on their disappointing start to the season, as they currently sit 19th in the table after four games.
Dennis is a versatile forward who can play through the middle or on either flank. He is known for his pace, strength, and work ethic.
He will be hoping to rediscover his best form at Basaksehir and earn a recall to the Nigerian national team ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Forest, meanwhile, will be hoping that Dennis can return to the club next summer a more experienced and confident player.
