According to Ms. Goh Swee Chen, head of the NTU board of trustees, Prof. Ho was appointed following a global search and in accordance with the best standards of top universities. His position will be effective as of April 24, 2023.
Professor Subra Suresh, who resigned in December 2022 after five years in charge to move back to the US, would be succeeded by Professor Ho Teck Hua. When his tenure begins, he will also become a distinguished university professor at NTU.
Ahead of his departure, the University announced several changes to its senior leadership team. Prof Ho will be working with the senior leadership team on a smooth transition before he leaves NUS on April 23.
