Charges of negligence may be brought against the two domestic workers who are under investigation in relation to the death of Ifeanyi, the son of David Adeleke and Chioma Rowland.
Recall that the police asked to question 8 witnesses to the event who were there at the time. Six people—all but the chef and nanny—were let go.
The two suspects may remain in police custody until they are exonerated by an autopsy report, according to a source who talked to Yabaleft.
Because they were directly responsible for Ifeanyi’s welfare while his parents were away, they may also be accused of negligence.
According to a reliable source, “The cook and the nanny are guilty of neglect up until the autopsy is done. They were the ones directly with the infant. We have suspects who may or may not be released depending on the case as we conduct our investigation.
The family has not yet voiced any opposition to the autopsy, but the hospital will determine how quickly it is completed. Reviewing the home’s CCTV is the next step, though.
While confirming the detention of the cook and nanny, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, declined to provide any other information regarding the current investigation.
