The Ghana Football Association has formally introduced betPawa as the new Ghana Premier League title sponsor.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, the official contract signing event took place at the headquarters of Ghana’s football, with Mr. Eazi and betPawa Majority shareholder and artist Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade witnessing the signing.
The FA and the betting company agreed to a three-year, US$6 million contract. The promotion of the Ghana Premier League will receive an annual investment of US$2 million.
Each of the 18 clubs in the Ghana Premier League will earn a portion of the sponsorship money agreed upon with betPawa, according to the GFA.
The “Locker-room Bonuses,” a winning bonus package for each player and technical staff of a winning club in the Ghana Premier League, were implemented by the GFA as part of the agreement.
Immediately following the game, the funds will be deposited to each team member’s account.
The Ghanaman Soccer Center in Prampram will get an Astro-turf that will be called the betPawa pitch thanks in part to the sponsorship. In October 2022, building is anticipated to begin.
The GFA is also anticipated to use some of the funds to sell and advertise the domestic league throughout Africa and elsewhere.
The two parties’ relationship is intended to promote the league.
