A New Chapter for Female Education in the Eastern Region
The landscape of secondary education in Ghana has expanded further following the official commissioning of the Aduamoah Girls SHS in the Eastern Region. The new educational institution opened its doors with an intake of 10 pioneer students, marking a significant milestone in the government’s drive to promote female education and bridge the infrastructure gap in rural communities.
During the commissioning ceremony, local leaders and education officials gathered to celebrate the milestone, emphasizing that even small beginnings can transform a community’s future. The school aims to provide a conducive environment for young girls to excel in academics and technical vocations, positioning them for national development.
Infrastructure and Community Support
The establishment of Aduamoah Girls SHS addresses longstanding concerns regarding access to secondary education for female students in the enclave. Stakeholders at the event pledged their unwavering support to ensure the school scales up its enrollment capacity and infrastructural amenities in the coming academic years.
The Eastern Regional Minister commended the traditional authorities and community members for releasing land and providing initial communal labor to see the project through. Education directors urged the pioneer students to take their studies seriously, noting that they carry the torch for generations of young women who will pass through the institution.
