New Britain, Connecticut — Authorities in New Britain, Connecticut, are searching for Christopher Raye, who is suspected of killing his wife, Bryana Raye, and severely injuring his mother-in-law in a domestic violence-related shooting incident early Monday morning.
Police responded to a call on Prospect Street around 3 a.m. on January 27, 2025, where they discovered Bryana Raye, 30, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts by New Britain EMS to render medical aid, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another woman, believed to be Bryana’s mother, was found with gunshot injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where she remains in critical condition. Her identity has not been officially released by the police, but social media posts have suggested her relationship to the deceased.
Christopher Raye, who has not been formally named a suspect by the police, is believed to have fled the scene in a black Chevy Silverado, potentially heading towards the Southern United States. Friends and family have taken to social media to spread the word, urging anyone with information to come forward to help in his capture.
