Liha Miller, the former spouse of Ghanaian artist Patapaa, has opened up about her efforts to save their marriage before it ultimately fell apart. In an interview with Zion Felix on December 16, 2024, Miller described her marriage to the musician as an extremely challenging ordeal, from which she has gained significant insights.
Miller revealed that she is currently awaiting the court’s ruling to formally end her marriage to Patapaa, which will allow her to remarry abroad. She disclosed that their relationship began to decline soon after their marriage due to irreconcilable differences, leading her to pursue a divorce. Miller stated that she has not communicated with Patapaa in over two years and is now working with his parents to finalize the divorce process.
Reflecting on her decision, Miller said, “I think I didn’t do anything wrong by moving on because the marriage was already in shambles. I was very sure about my decision to get a divorce because I couldn’t meet a new person today and have a different mind about going back to my previous marriage. I had to be very sure that my marriage could not be fixed anymore.”
She also expressed frustration over the way people and Patapaa have tarnished her image, despite her efforts to save the marriage. “I have cried a lot about this marriage. I tried to save this marriage,” she said.
Miller emphasized her desire to move on with her life, stating, “I am young, and I don’t have a child. I want a husband; I want to be with my family and not in a distant relationship. I need a man who is ready for it… There is no way that this marriage between Patapaa and me would work again. I tried, but more things happened. It took me some time before I realized that we were no more.”
She concluded by saying that she needs to close this chapter of her life before moving forward, as she does not want to live two lives.
