Mr. Frank Gasese, the Western Regional Director of the Driver Licencing and Vehicular Authority (DVLA), has asked the public to use the online registration system in order to alleviate traffic at the Authority’s multiple locations.
He asserted that January in particular marked the beginning of the year as peak registration season, which over time had resulted in offices being crowded and putting strain on the authority’s employees and clients.
Mr. Gasese, also known as Togbega Binah Lawluvi VII, and the Paramount Chief of Ziope Traditional Area said in an interview with the Ghana News Agency that the introduction of the Vehicle Registration System, a portal for vehicle owners, had thus proven useful in reducing wait times for customers at Authority offices, advancing convenience, and speeding up service delivery.
The Western Regional Director of the DVLA continued by stating that when the online system was launched in the last quarter of 2023, a number of user concerns were brought to the attention of both clients and the Authority.
But by 2024, everything will function well since our Management Information System Group has put a lot of effort into fixing all of these problems. We are committed to doing away with the manual registration process, and we need your help to make this happen.

Customers might gain a lot from online registration, according to Mr. Gasese, because it discourages the theft of vehicles. The statement “doubling up” said, “No one will be able to double register because the system can link all information including, Ghana Card details, road worthy and registration information.”
