Bawumia: I Don't Believe In Attacking Opponents 3

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that he does not believe in attacking opponents, especially during political primaries.

In an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM, Bawumia said that he believes that politics should be based on issues and not on personal attacks.

“I don’t believe in attacking opponents,” Bawumia said. “I believe in talking about the issues and what we can do for the people of Ghana.”

Bawumia’s statement comes ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries, which are scheduled to take place in 2023. The NPP is the governing party in Ghana, and Bawumia is one of the potential candidates for the party’s presidential nomination.

Bawumia’s statement is a welcome change from the often-acrimonious tone of Ghanaian politics. It is important for politicians to remember that they are all working towards the same goal: to make Ghana a better place for all Ghanaians.

Personal attacks and name-calling do nothing to further this goal. Instead, politicians should focus on the issues and on how they can best serve the people of Ghana.

Bawumia’s statement is a positive step in the right direction. It is hoped that other politicians will follow his lead and focus on the issues during the upcoming NPP primaries.

The Ghanaian people deserve a political campaign that is based on issues and not on personal attacks.
