Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has officially confirmed her divorce from husband Maxwell Mensah, ending months of speculation surrounding their marriage.
The revelation came during an exclusive interview on TV3’s New Day programme, where McBrown was hosted by Cookie Tee on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Speaking candidly, the popular Onua Showtime host disclosed that the couple had parted ways after 12 years together. While rumours of marital troubles had circulated repeatedly in the past, this is the first time McBrown has publicly acknowledged and confirmed the separation.
McBrown emphasised that the decision was difficult but necessary, stressing that there is no bad blood between her and her ex-husband. “We remain very close and are still friends. There is mutual respect between us,” she said.
She further revealed that Maxwell Mensah continues to manage several of her businesses, highlighting the amicable nature of their post-divorce relationship.
The award-winning entertainer expressed profound gratitude to Mensah for their daughter, Baby Maxine, describing her as the greatest gift from their union. “I only thank and bless him for giving me Baby Maxine,” McBrown stated.
Addressing her future plans, McBrown firmly declared that she has no intention of remarrying. Having spent nearly 25 years in the public eye, she explained that her experiences have taught her valuable lessons about life, people, and relationships.
In a lighter moment, she jokingly added that if she were ever to reconsider marriage, it would be to Maxwell—pointing out that he, along with his mother and other family members, does not agree with the divorce.
